On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the College of Basic Education at the University of Zakho, in collaboration with the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, organized a sports and arts event for university staff and administrators. The activity was supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Jasim Mohammed Abdo, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ramadan Jafar Mustafa, Vice President for Student Affairs.

 

As part of the event, a table tennis tournament was held for university lecturers and officials.

 

The final match was played between Shinwar Ahmed Idris and Ava Shafiq Rafiq, with Shinwar Ahmed Idris claiming first place and being named the tournament champion.
